Goa batters Snehal Kauthankar (314*) and Kashyap Bakle (300*) shared the highest-ever partnership in the Ranji Trophy history during their plate group match against Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday.

The 29-year-old Kauthankar went past his previous best of 250 from last week's game against Mizoram and reached his maiden triple hundred in only 205 balls against a hapless Arunachal Pradesh attack.

After bowling out Arunachal Pradesh on just 84 in their first innings, Goa managed to post a mammoth total of 727 for 2 with Kashyap Bakle and Snehal Kauthankar scoring triple centuries each to take full control of the match on Day 2 in Porvorin.

The partnership also made its way into the record books as it was only the second instance of two batters scoring triple hundreds in the same innings of a Ranji Trophy game
