After an unfortunate delay, Wear OS 5 is finally coming to first- and second-gen Pixel Watch models in a software update.

After a failed first attempt, Google has now resumed rolling out a big free software upgrade to its range of Pixel Watch wearables. In particular, the Pixel Watch and Pixel Watch 2 are now getting updated to Wear OS 5,

The next major update for the Pixel Watch is expected to align with a Feature Drop in March 2025. In the meantime, users can still anticipate app-level updates through the December Pixel Drop.

While Google just dropped some new Pixel Watch updates this week after a couple months without, the company warns that no more are coming until 2025.
