A bagpipe band played outside on the overcast morning as uniformed officers awaited the arrival of a procession carrying Martinez's body to St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel.

Chicago Police Department Officer Enrique Martinez will be laid to rest on Monday, following his funeral service at St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel and interment at Beverly Cemetery.

Fallen Chicago Police Officer Enrique Martinez, who was gunned down during a traffic stop earlier this month, was laid on Monday at a funeral with dozens of first responders in attendance.
