The 29-year-old Kauthankar went past his previous best of 250 from last week's game against Mizoram and reached his maiden triple hundred in only 205 balls against a hapless Arunachal Pradesh attack.

Goa's Snehal Kauthankar and Kashyap Bakle stitched up the highest partnership of unbeaten 606 in Ranji Trophy's history on day two of their Plate Group match against Arunachal Pradesh.

After bowling out Arunachal Pradesh on just 84 in their first innings, Goa managed to post a mammoth total of 727 for 2 with Kashyap Bakle and Snehal Kauthankar scoring triple centuries each to take full control of the match on Day 2 in Porvorin.

The partnership also made its way into the record books as it was only the second instance of two batters scoring triple hundreds in the same innings of a Ranji Trophy game
