As rumors swirl about potential roster changes in Pittsburgh, longtime Penguins star Evgeni Malkin has made it clear he has no intention of leaving the franchise he’s called home for nearly two decades.

In the third period of that October game, while cutting across the goal mouth and getting a pass from Sidney Crosby, Malkin was able to beat Sabres' goaltender Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen while falling down, giving him 500 career regular-season goals.

The Pittsburgh Penguins celebrated the veteran forward’s 500 th career goal with a special pregame ceremony before their game against the Detroit Red Wings at PPG Paints Arena. Malkin was joined by his parents, Vladimir and Natalia, and son, Nikita, on the arena ice.
